Scope: Supply and Installation of office partitions and furniture
The team at RSM’s Ballarat office were needing to relocate a department into their ground floor office space, and engaged AOFS to assist them with planning the layout of the space and to supply the partitions and furniture to suit. 3D sketches of the space were developed and used to visualise the space and finalise the layout before works commenced.
Having worked with RSM in the past, the team at AOFS had a clear understanding of the specific requirements for the space and were able to provide a solution that not only aligned with budgetary requirements but also catered specifically for the particular needs of the department that were relocating to the space.
Value for money was a key outcome for the project, so ways to avoid unnecessary costs were brainstormed and incorporated into the design. For example, installing office partitions that finished short of the ceiling meant that costly changes to the air-conditioning were avoided, saving thousands of dollars, and the team’s requirement for two separate offices in the space was still achieved!
Given that the space was previously leased to another tenant, minor make-good works were required prior to the fitout commencing. AOFS handled this component of the project also, providing RSM with an end-to-end solution. A total of 11 workpoints were installed in the space, complete with power and data provisions, monitor arms, storage and seating.
The timeline for the project was a special consideration, with RSM keen to move staff into the space as soon as possible. Despite COVID-19 lockdowns coming into force at the time and affecting the availability of materials, AOFS were still able to complete the job inside 4 weeks and staff moved in ahead of schedule.
